The app now includes an eSIM Management screen where you can confirm you're on the latest Cape eSIM. Keeping your eSIM current matters — newer eSIM versions are what unlock smoother setup and access to the latest Cape service and feature improvements.
Before you start: To avoid dual Cape eSIM conflicts please ensure that your prior Cape eSIM is renamed so that you can differentiate between the old eSIM and the upgraded eSIM. Once the upgrade is complete you can delete the prior eSIM that is now easily identifiable based on the eSIM name.
Why keep your eSIM up to date
Many of Cape's ease-of-use improvements and features depend on newer eSIM versions. Checking this screen lets you confirm you're on the latest version so you get the best possible experience on Cape.
Step 1 — Open Account and tap eSIM Management
Tap Account in the bottom navigation, then tap eSIM Management in the menu.
Step 2 — Confirm your eSIM status and version
The eSIM Management screen shows your current status. If it reads "Your eSIM is up-to-date" with "You are using the latest Cape eSIM," you're all set. Your version is listed under Current version (for example, orion01).
