How to sign up for Google with your Cape number
Your Cape number works great for Google account verification — just not through the browser. Here's what you need to know.
Before you start
Signing up for a Google account via a web browser using your Cape number is currently not supported. To complete verification without any issues, use a Google app on your device instead.
Step-by-step
Download any Google app
Install any Google app on your device — Gmail, Google Maps, or any other app from Google will work.
Open the app and select "Create account"
Launch the app and look for the option to sign in or create a new Google account.
Enter your Cape number when prompted
When asked for a phone number, enter your Cape number as you normally would. Google will send a verification code via SMS.
Enter the verification code
Check your Cape messages for the code from Google and enter it to verify your number and complete signup.
