To enable international roaming for iPhone, you must upgrade your primary eSIM and ensure your APN is set to "Chesapeake" when traveling internationally.
Check our country coverage below and note that MMS is not supported while roaming internationally.
International Data Policy
Data Cap: International roaming includes up to 5GB of international data per month.
- After 5GB: Your connection will remain active, but speeds may be throttled and access may be blocked at any time without prior notice.
- Buying More Data: We do not offer the option to purchase additional data packs at this time.
- Unsupported Countries: We are working on making more countries available on iPhone through our roaming partners. While service may occasionally function in countries not listed below, it is considered unsupported and access may be blocked at any time without prior notice.
How to Enable Secure Global Roaming on iPhone

Set Up Secure Global Roaming
- Ensure you are on the latest version of the Cape App.
- In the Cape app, go to Account → Features. Select "Secure Global Roaming".

You may be prompted to upgrade your Cape SIM. If you are not prompted to upgrade your SIM, Secure Global Roaming is already enabled.
Note: Secure Global Roaming is built into your Cape SIM—it is not a separate, dedicated travel SIM. You will use the same SIM whether you are domestic or traveling internationally. - You are now ready to travel internationally. In the same Secure Global Roaming tab in the app, you’ll find instructions for how to configure your SIM once you arrive at your international destination. More details can also be found below:

Roaming Configuration Guide
Important Roaming Notes:
- When roaming internationally, you MUST manually set your APN settings to Chesapeake once you arrive in your destination country.
- MMS (Picture Messaging) will not work for iPhone while roaming internationally at this time.
All Cape users on iPhone must follow the instructions below to connect while roaming internationally. Follow these steps once you arrive in your destination country.
Step 1: Enable Data Roaming
- Go to Settings → Cellular.
- Select your Cape eSIM.
- Toggle Data Roaming to ON.
Step 2: Configure APN
You MUST manually set your Access Point Name (APN) to "Chesapeake."
- Under your eSIM settings, look for Cellular Data Network.
- If it exists, turn OFF the toggle at the top of the page for "Use Carrier Settings."
- Delete any existing Proximus APN info.
- In the APN field in each section, type in:
chesapeake - Ensure your settings match the screenshot below.
- Go back to save or restart your device. Your iPhone should now be connected to an international network.
Note: The MMS section is not necessary as we do not support MMS while international roaming; however, having the settings configured will not impact your connection.
Troubleshooting: Select Subscription or Carrier
Your SIM should automatically connect after following the steps above. If you still see "No Service," check the troubleshooting steps below.
Option A: Manually Trigger the Roaming Profile
- Go to Settings → Cellular → Cape eSIM.
- Tap SIM Applications → Cape Roaming.
- Select Subscription, then choose International.
Note: If you manually trigger the roaming profile for international roaming, you must set this setting manually when you are back in the United States. When you arrive back in the United States, follow the steps above but select United States or Canada instead of International
Option B: Manual Network Selection
- Go to Settings → Cellular → Network Selection.
- Turn OFF the Automatic toggle.
- Wait for the list of local carriers to appear (this may take up to 2 minutes), then select a network manually.
