If you have multiple eSIMs activated on your phone, your calls and texts may default to the wrong carrier. This can happen if another carrier is set as the default line for voice and SMS or if your Cape eSIM isn't activated or switched on.
Note: For all of the below steps, we have assumed that you your Cape eSIM is labeled as "Cape" in your device settings. If you labeled your Cape eSIM with a different name (e.g., "Personal," "Travel," or "Business"), replace references to "Cape" below with the appropriate label.
Fixing Calling Issues
Set Cape as the Default Voice Line
This ensures your phone uses Cape for calls unless you manually switch lines or assign a different line for specific contacts.
On iOS:

Go to Settings → Cellular → Default Voice Line.

Ensure Cape is selected.
On Android

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Calls & SMS.

Select Cape as the preferred/default line for calls.

Select Cape Line for Outgoing Calls to New Numbers
On iOS
- When dialing a new number, look at the top of the screen to confirm that the Cape line is being used.
On Android
- When placing a call, ensure that Cape is selected as the line in the call options before making the call.
Select Cape Line for Calls to Existing Contacts
On iOS
- Tap the contact, then review the SIM line at the top to confirm the Cape line is selected.
On Android
- Tap the contact or previously called number, and check if the SIM icon indicates the Cape line.

Open the SMS conversation, tap the contact name/number, and ensure Cape is selected under Conversation Line.

- In the conversation, tap the SIM icon at the bottom-right and ensure the Cape line is selected.

If Cape isn't recognized, ensure the eSIM is activated and switched on. Restart your phone if needed, or contact Cape support for further assistance.
