In most cases, Cape automatically configures your device's APN settings via carrier defaults. This article is relevant if you're experiencing network or MMS issues and need to verify or manually update those settings.
Follow the steps below to ensure your APN is correctly set to Cape on your device.
On Android
By default, Cape will add in the correct APN settings when your eSIM is installed. You can check your APN settings by navigating to:
- Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Cape → Access Point Names.
- Select “Cape” from the APN list.
If “Cape” is not listed, you’ll need to add it manually.
Adding APN Settings Manually
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Cape → Access Point Names or Search for "Access Point Names" in your device settings
- Tap the + button to create a new APN and input the following settings exactly as shown
- Your device may say "Access Point Name settings are not available for this user". This should not prevent you from adding the settings.
Inputs are case-sensitive! Any fields not listed can be left blank or do not need to be modified.

- Please note:"dun" and "tethering" may not be "APN type" options on all Android devices. If that is the case, they are not needed and they are included by default.
- After entering the correct information, tap the 3 dots in the top-right corner and select Save.
- Restart your phone to apply the new settings.

On iOS
Using Carrier Settings (Recommended)
Cape's APN settings are applied automatically when the "Use Carrier Settings" toggle is turned on. This is the default setting and the recommended approach — in most cases, you don't need to do anything.
Adding APN Settings Manually
- Go to Settings → Cellular → Select your Cape eSIM → Cellular Data Network → At the top of the page, turn off "Use Carrier Settings"/.
