If you encounter the message “This number is registered to your Apple ID but is not associated with this phone” in iMessage or FaceTime, your iPhone may not have correctly registered your new or transferred phone number.
Possible Cause
After setting up a new Cape number or transferring from another carrier, your iPhone might not update the number in its settings, causing a mismatch.

Restart your iPhone after updating.
