Carrier Instructions for Eligibility
AT&T
- AT&T provides Device Installment Plans over a 36-month period.
- To pay off your device in full, log in to your AT&T account, and navigate to installment plan details.
- Select the device you would like to pay off.
- Select the option to pay off your device.
- Once you have paid off your device, you can visit to this site for device-specific unlocking information: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/.
Note: AT&T institutes a 60 day minimum lock period for all devices sold through AT&T. If you have had your AT&T device for 60 days or less, you will need to contact AT&T at 800.331.0500 or go to an AT&T store to have the device unlocked.
T-Mobile
- Log-in to your T-Mobile account through a PC browser.
- Under "Bill and pay", scroll down until you see "Equipment".
- Scroll down to the phone number that has an Equipment Installation Plan (EIP) connected to it.
- Choose "Make an additional payment" and pay off the remaining balance for your device.
- Contact T-Mobile: You can also contact T-Mobile customer service to inquire about paying off your device and get the necessary information by dialing 611
- Once your device is eligible for unlock it should be automatically unlocked by T-Mobile within 2 days. If you experience delays or issues, check https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/unlock-your-mobile-wireless-device.
Verizon
- Access the My Verizon app or website, and navigate to the Account tab.
- Select “Manage All Devices” and select the line you would like to pay off.
- Navigate to the “Device Payment Agreement”.
- Select the "Pay off device" option.
- Follow the prompts to complete the payment.
Note: Verizon institutes a 60 day minimum lock period for all devices sold through Verizon. If you have had your Verizon device for 60 days or less you will need to contact Verizon or go to a Verizon store to have the device unlocked.
Device Specific Instructions for Unlock
iPhone
To view unlock status, select Settings > General > About. If Carrier Lock says No SIM restrictions, your iPhone is unlocked.
- If you phone is still locked, you will need to contact your carrier to have them unlock it.
Samsung
From your list of apps, choose Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings.
- Select Network Unlock > Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
Note: If you do not see a "Network Unlock" option, please contact your carrier to unlock.
Pixel
- Contact your current carrier for specific instructions
- Many carriers require you to download an "Pixel unlock device" app from the Play Store to conduct the unlock.
Motorola
From your list of apps, choose Settings > About Phone > Device Unlock.
- Select Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
Note: If you do not see a "Device Unlock" option, please contact your carrier to unlock.
